Aluminium alloys

Aluminium die casting alloys are characterised by their high content of Si, this to improve the castability. Other elements of alloy are Cu, Fe, Mg and Mn. The extent to which these elements occur is determining for the mechanical properties of the alloy. All the alloys we use meet the standards of RoHS, REACH and ELV.

The main characteristic of aluminium alloy is its excellent strength to weight ratio. This characteristic is enhanced by the near-net shape design possibilities offered by the die casting process.

In the table below you can find the main characteristics of our aluminium alloys. Our standard alloy is ENAC-47100 according to European standard EN1706:2010. In case you do not find the characteristic you are looking for, do not hesitate to contact us.

 

 

Zamak or zinc alloy

Zamak is a zinc alloy composed of more than 90% zinc, together with other elements of alloy like copper and aluminium. The extent to which these elements occur is determining for the mechanical properties of the alloy. All the alloys we use meet the standards of RoHS, REACH and ELV.

The main characteristic of zamak is its fluidity. This characteristic allows us to mold parts with thin walls and with extremely narrow tolerances. Zamak is less appropriate for the manufacturing of parts operating at temperatures above 110°C.

In the table below you can find the main characteristics of our zinc alloys. Our standard alloy is EN-ZL0410 according to European standard EN1774:1997. In case you do not find the characteristic you are looking for, do not hesitate to contact us.
